Thread: Fritz 12 Blunder Check/Analysis ignoring Time Per Move setting??

Default Fritz 12 Blunder Check/Analysis ignoring Time Per Move setting??

I have 190 games I want to both Blunder Check and Analyze.
I have Fritz12 installed on my Win7 laptop and Vista workstation.

With recommended analysis settings my laptop takes approx 20 minutes per game, and the depth and variations are great

My workstation rips through a game in 20 seconds no matter what settigns I enter. For example event with 30 seconds per move it still goes through a 60 move game in approx 20 seconds?? The depth and variations are as poor as you would expect for such a quick pass.

I think I have checked all settings between the 2 machines and just can't see any difference. Both have similar 64bit CPU's 4GB Ram, something is certainly not right with the workstation install/set-up.

    Any ideas?

Sorry, I don't know what the problem with your Vista-machine.

What I know is, that the Fritz 12 GUI has had a lot of bugs in early versions (I am using F12 as well). After some updates it got better, but still not bug-free. Maybe some information you put in the GUI are just not used (= bug). Do you have installed all the updated for Fritz 12? I did test (I never used that feature before, because I always analyse myself with 'infinite analysis') it on my Win 7 machine and it worked.
