Default Rybka 3 announced mate in 1942

I read that during the 2008 World Computer Chess Championship in Beijing Rybka 3 running on a 40 core cluster announced mate in 1942 moves (Picture). I don't believe this anyways, but I'm wondering if there even is a position in chess that contains a mate in 1942 moves by best play of both players. I think even if chess is solved some day and even if chess is not a draw game, there should be a mate in about 100 moves but no 1942
Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box.

You don't have to worry. It was a bug created by the programmer as a joke.

Even computers have a sense of humour, it seems.
