- I am a correspondence player and have been playing it over 50 years. Some info: Official US/ICCF rating is 2060. Formerly played at Chessworld (rated 2350) and currently play at Queen Alice where I’m rated ~2300.
I’ve met a lot of famous players over the years, the most memorable was Dr. Max Euwe and I once ran into Bobby Fischer in a New York City bookstore. I’ve also played CC with limited success against some of the top US players back when it was done with post cards. Claims to fame: Drew Samuel Reshevsky in a postal game and also drew with the number 8 ranked US CC player back when we used post cards. Lost to Rossolimo OTB. Once had a game published in Chess Review magazine.
